Hello

My name is Amy Weber.

I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, both as a clinician and as an administrator. I am currently in private practice full-time in Park Slope (Brooklyn, NY).  In addition to conducting individual and group therapy sessions, I also provide consultation and training to schools and agencies throughout New York City.  I am the co-founder of Speak, Learn, and Play.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. I have a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in drama and psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from New York University.  Additionally, I have post-graduate certificates in Infant - Parent Psychotherapy from the Institute for Infants, Children, and Families at the Jewish Board for Families' and Children's Services and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy from the William Alanson White Institute. I have further training in the DIR/Floortime model,  the Collaborative Problem Solving Model, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

I moved to Brooklyn in 1995, and currently live in Windsor Terrace. When I am not working, I enjoy playing in Prospect Park, cooking, reading, quilting, traveling, and running.
